Professor of Physics at the University of Almería (UAL), he served as Vice-Rector for Research, Development and Innovation at the same institution between June 2015 and September 2018, and has carried out research at the Spanish Antarctic Base Juan Carlos I, in Antarctica. He also holds a diploma in Higher Education Management, was Head of the Department of Applied Physics at UAL for seven years, and served as the University’s General Manager from May 2007 to May 2013.
