At its General Assembly, onTech highlights its consolidation as a leading ICT cluster in technological innovation at the national level.

The Ordinary General Assembly of OnTech Innovation, held this morning in Granada, has brought together its member entities to review the 2024 fiscal year, approve the strategic lines for 2025 and ratify the agreements adopted by the Board of Directors in the last year.

During the session, the 2024 Activity Report, the financial closing of the fiscal year and the budget for 2025 were approved, in addition to the president’s report, Marcelo Vázquez, which highlighted the main achievements reached by the cluster in the last year.

Among them is the registration of onTech in the Andalusian Registry as an agent of the Andalusian Knowledge System, being officially recognized as an Innovation Cluster by the Ministry of University, Research and Innovation of the Regional Government of Andalusia. At the national level, the Ministry of Industry and Tourism has granted onTech recognition as a National Cluster, thus consolidating its strategic role in the digital transformation of the country.

In addition, onTech’s effort and trajectory during 2024 in promoting the Andalusian ecosystem has resulted in various recognitions and awards, such as the INPRO 2025 Award from the Seville Provincial Council and the ADN Empresarial 2025 Award from the Granada Business Confederation.

The organization has also unveiled a new corporate image, with a renewed logo, in line with its evolution and growth.

Intense institutional activity and presence at key events

In 2024, onTech has maintained an active institutional agenda, with strategic meetings with representatives from the Ministry of Industry, RED.ES, CIEMAT, EOI, the Regional Government of Andalusia and other key players in the public sector. This work has been crucial to strengthen public-private collaboration and open new opportunities for its member companies.

Regarding events, the cluster has been present with its own stand at relevant events such as the Cybersecurity Congress, the Transfiere Forum, DES 2024 and the Artificial Intelligence Congress, among others.

Missions 2025: A key opportunity for onTech Innovation partners

From onTech we encourage all our member entities to actively participate in the Misiones Ciencia e Innovación 2025 call, launched by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. This initiative represents a unique opportunity to develop high technological impact projects with public funding and a strong focus on collaboration.

The application period opens today, May 29, and closes on June 1 at 12:00 noon.

Why is it relevant for our partners?

The Misiones 2025 call is designed to fund research and technological innovation projects with the aim of solving the new challenges facing today’s society.

The following seven priority missions have been selected:

  1. Reduction of hospital stays and healthcare pressure through technological solutions.

  1. Development of responsible artificial intelligence.

  1. Interconnected and secure industry for greater strategic autonomy.

  1. Territorial planning and management for resilience to climate risks.

  1. Strategic sovereignty in mineral raw materials for industry and energy transition.

  1. Training for strategic autonomy in security and defense.

  1. Sustainable mobility and decarbonization of collective transport.

Submitting a proposal not only allows access to economic resources, but also establishes strategic alliances with companies, universities and technology centers, in addition to enhancing the visibility and leadership of our partners in the national R&D ecosystem.

Who can participate?

  • Groups of 3 to 6 companies with at least two of them independent from each other
  • At least one of the entities must be an SME
  • Companies must have their registered office in Spain and be legally constituted

onTech Innovation offers advice on public financing to startups and SMEs in the agricultural sector within the Andalucía Agrotech program.

The technology cluster onTech Innovation participates in the Andalucía Agrotech DIH project (www.andaluciaagrotech.com), promoted by the Regional Government of Andalusia, aimed at modernizing and digitalizing the Andalusian agri-food sector. A collaboration that seeks to promote technological innovation and sustainability in regional agriculture.

onTech’s collaboration with the Agrotech program translates into the provision of services aimed at startups and SMEs, focused on advising on public funding for all companies located in Andalusia that want to increase their degree of digitalization. Specifically, these services focus on writing proposals and supporting the search for public funding for emerging companies and SMEs. In short, finding the funding tools that best suit their needs. As a starting point, the cluster conducts a needs detection plan and a digital diagnosis, which allows understanding the specific and concrete needs of each company at a technological, financial and digital maturity level.

Participation in this project highlights the importance that onTech Innovation places on promoting digitalization and innovation in the agri-food sector, helping self-employed individuals and small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to advance in competitiveness in the foreign market, accompanying them so that none are left behind in this process.

Andalusia plays a key role in the Spanish agri-food sector, being one of the main producing and exporting regions. In this context, it is essential to advise and accompany farmers in the process of modernization and digitalization of their productions not only to improve their competitiveness but to ensure their adaptation to the new challenges of the global market.

Andalucía Agrotech is a public-private partnership led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, and recognized as a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) whose objective is to promote digital transformation in the agri-food sector through the adoption of advanced technologies, the promotion of innovation and collaboration.

This project is funded through the Digital Europe Programme with an initial allocation of 4.26 million euros for a duration of three years, in the execution period between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2025.

2024 Activity Summary: Growth, Leadership, and Strategic Transformation

onTech Innovation has published its 2024 Activity Report, a document that captures a decisive year for the cluster, established as a national benchmark in technological innovation, business digitalization and public-private cooperation. The report offers a complete overview of the impact of its initiatives on the ICT ecosystem, both in Andalusia and throughout the country, reflecting a collaborative working model at the service of business development.

During 2024, onTech intensified its institutional agenda, strengthening its presence in high-impact R&D projects and supporting hundreds of companies in their digital transformation process. All this within the framework of a renewed strategy and a new corporate identity that reflect the cluster’s evolution and its growing national and international projection.

Among the important milestones of 2024, highlights include recognition as an Agent of the Andalusian Knowledge System, the presentation of the 2024-2028 Strategic Plan, and the comprehensive renewal of the cluster’s visual identity, aligned with its organizational maturity and greater representation at regional and national level, currently reaching 65% of the Andalusian ICT sector and 35% of the Spanish sector.

R&D&I projects with impact on key sectors

During the year, onTech has coordinated 7 technological innovation projects within the AEI programs of the Ministry of Industry and the PLAnd SEQUÍA Andalusia, to which 5 other international research proposals have been added, focused on strategic sectors such as aerospace, rail, energy, agri-food, publishing and cybersecurity.

Direct support to SMEs and digitalization of the business fabric

Through the Acelera Pyme Office, onTech has supported more than 1,600 SMEs and self-employed individuals throughout Spain, resolving more than 350 inquiries and organizing 72 training and networking sessions, both in-person and online. These actions have been key to promoting the use of technologies such as AI, cybersecurity, blockchain, big data or CRM among small businesses seeking to improve their competitiveness.

In 2024, onTech has developed intensive work to strengthen the cluster’s positioning, generate new talent opportunities and showcase the innovative capacity of member entities. Notable is the participation in more than 20 strategic events and conferences such as Mobile World Congress, Transfiere Forum, Digital Enterprise Show, the National Clusters Congress, The Andalusia AI Congress or Talent Land Spain. Training, employment and rural development

onTech has also intensified its work in the training field, with projects funded by the Ministry of Education and the Community of Madrid, where more than 600 people have been trained in key technologies. Also noteworthy is the “Knowledge Nomads” project, developed together with the Association of Municipalities of La Alpujarra, to position this region as a destination for digital professionals.
